Participant Education

Investment knowledge is one key to long-term investment success. It may be valuable to follow the tenets of Modern Portfolio Theory which are:

• Markets move randomly and are efficiently priced
• The allocation of priced risk factors determines returns
• Diversification reduces risk and increases returns
• Risk exposure must be matched to risk capacity
• Probability and statistics help investors control the risk of investing
• The guidance provided by the Uniform Prudent Investor Act

IFA will provide all participants with advice on the selection of their prudent and risk-appropriate portfolio. An IFA advisor is available to all participants for consultation on their portfolio selection and for analysis of the five dimensions of their risk capacity, including time horizon, attitude toward risk, net worth, net income, and investment knowledge. IFA acts as a fiduciary to participants, receives no compensation from investments, and provides unbiased and customized advice.

IFA provides a custom-based website for each retirement plan. This website will guide participants through a Risk Capacity Survey and direct them to a pre-allocated portfolio. A participant can also choose to select individual funds, but they will have guidance on the recommended allocation between stocks and bonds.

Custom website

  • Companies offering 401(k) plans will have a website custom tailored to their retirement plan. See our sample site:

  • Each quarter IFA will release a market review video to help keep participants on track with retirement.

  • The custom website will provide tools, investment options, education, and gateway to view account information.
